Hi LUG,

In my usual style, this email is pretty late, but...let's talk about what
we want to do for Tuesday's meeting.

Here are some ideas:

- Tech talk -- I don't think my Wayland talk will be ready by then, but
I can give a decent one on encryption & security, with a focus on securing
Linux
- If anyone else has a tech talk they want to give, that's also good, or
we can do lightning talks
- Start architecting our Discourse installation, which we will be going
with since it supports 2-way email stuff
- Something else, or some combination of the above

If I don't hear anything, I'd like to move forward with setting up
Discourse, which will involve making a decision about the email infra we're
going to use.

Let me know what you're interested in or if you have other ideas!

I think that a shorter encryption/security tech talk would be great,
because it could (loosely) tie into our setup of the Discourse instance
on our server properly.

I apologize to the group for not initiating this week's
discussion/announcement myself (as is my responsibility)!

In any case, everyone can still look forward to a much better LUG
communication medium very soon.

See you all on Tuesday!

So...I made a bit of a mistake :-)

When I moved the LUG meeting calendar event over to this calendar
<http://go.ncsu.edu/lugcalendar> (which by the way is our official calendar
now) I forgot to click 'Repeat' for the event...and someone reserved our
meeting room out from under us for this upcoming meeting and the January
31, 2017 meeting. I was able to re-reserve it for the rest of the year,
though.

Tomorrow I'll head over to EB2 and pick one of the rooms that's available
for reservation, and send out an email with this info, so make sure you
guys check your email tomorrow.

Any of these sound good to me. That said, I don't have any talks to give.
